New Year's Eve

With the passing of Christmas and the coming of a new year, we look back to bygones and forward to come-bys. We also start thinking of new year resolutions.

New Year's Day is celebrated in different ways by different people, and has been a holiday for around 4,000 years. Some of the first people to recognize it were the Babylonians.       Nowadays, people celebrate by going to a parade or a fireworks display, or by just staying home and watching TV. Almost all people, though, celebrate it by making a New Year's Resolution. Some common New Year's    Resolutions include:

1. Exercising and eating healthier
2. Volunteering to help people in need
3. Organzing your life or house
4. Getting rid of debt
5. Better management of money
6. Being nice to someone you don't like
    (or who doesn't like you)
